These notes explain how we process personal data when you use the SquadPit app.
Personal data are all data that can be used to identify you personally.
- Data you provide: e.g., email address, name/username, profile picture, created events, and chat messages.
- Automatically collected data: e.g., device information, usage timestamps, location data (only with your permission).

You have the statutory rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object. If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; prior processing remains lawful.
3. Data Collection in SquadPit
Registration is required to use SquadPit. We process the necessary account data to provide the app.
When you create or join sports events, this information is processed visibly for other users as part of the app’s core functionality.
The chat function processes message content to enable conversation and delivery within the app.
Location data may be processed for location-based features when you grant permission in your operating system.

4. Hosting and Services
We use external infrastructure and platform services for technical app delivery, including Firebase services for authentication and file storage, as well as an API server infrastructure.
Where personal data is processed on our behalf, we have executed order-processing agreements in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, manipulation, and unauthorized access.
Transmission of sensitive data occurs encrypted (e.g., via SSL/TLS).
6. Contact Form on This Website
When you use the contact form on this website, we process the data you provide (name, email address, and message) in order to handle and respond to your request.
Submissions are delivered via the service provider Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA), which processes the form data on our behalf and forwards it to us. This may involve transferring personal data to the USA; such transfers are based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent given by submitting the form) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your request).
- Retention: We store the data until your request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
To protect against automated abuse (spam), we use a hidden verification field. No data is transmitted to Google reCAPTCHA.
