Finding football events in Saarland

Saarland is small but football-mad: relative to its population, the Saarland Football Association has a remarkable number of clubs. Between Saarbrücken, Neunkirchen, Homburg, Saarlouis, Merzig and St. Wendel pitches are close together, so friendlies and tournaments are usually just a short drive away.

In winter many clubs host indoor tournaments; in spring and summer games are played outdoors – often combined with sports festivals where the whole club lends a hand. Looking across the state border, you will also find suitable opponents in the Palatinate and around Trier. That is why the map shows not only Saarland but also the events right next door.

On SquadPit, clubs post their own offers: tournaments, friendlies, training matches and performance checks, each with age group, birth years and venue. The list above shows the next events in Saarland; on the map you can filter by period, month, age group, category and sport, and use “Near me” to search around your location. SquadPit is a German platform, so most events and their descriptions are in German.
