Finding football events in Bavaria
Bavaria is Germany's largest state by area, and the Bavarian Football Association is one of the country's biggest regional associations. Football is played everywhere: in the Munich, Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen and Augsburg areas as well as in the many smaller towns between the Allgäu, the Bavarian Forest, the Spessart and the Fichtelgebirge. For coaches this means there are plenty of opponents – you just have to find them at the right time.
Many clubs host their own tournaments throughout the year, indoors in winter and outdoors in spring and summer. On top come pre-season friendlies and performance checks, where youth teams play sides of similar strength. Since distances in Bavaria can be long, the map helps: it shows events in Regensburg, Würzburg, Ingolstadt or Rosenheim that are within reach.
