Finding football events in Thuringia
Thuringia lies in the centre of Germany, reaching from the Eichsfeld via the Thuringian Forest to the Altenburger Land. Football is organised by the Thuringia Football Association, and besides the cities of Erfurt, Jena, Gera, Weimar and Gotha there are many clubs in smaller towns for whom tournaments and friendlies are an important part of the season.
In winter clubs host indoor tournaments; in spring and summer games are played outdoors. For youth teams, performance checks are a good opportunity to measure themselves against sides of similar strength. Thanks to the central location, opponents from Hesse, Bavaria, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Lower Saxony are often within easy reach – the map shows events across the state border.
On SquadPit, clubs post their own offers: tournaments, friendlies, training matches and performance checks, each with age group, birth years and venue. The list above shows the next events in Thuringia; on the map you can filter by period, month, age group, category and sport, and use “Near me” to search around your location. SquadPit is a German platform, so most events and their descriptions are in German.
Is your club hosting a tournament?
Post it for free in the SquadPit app. Teams from Thuringia will then find your tournament on this page and on the map and can contact you directly.
